Planet Karoo is a private reserve in the Ceres Tankwa Karoo. This 1100 hectare retreat is completely isolated but easily accessible Planet Karoo is only a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. It is the simplicity and majesty of Planet Karoo which appeals to our visitors. We offer three lodging options, all of which are private & self-catering. Planet Karoo boasts a perennial river and a beautiful kloof, running 3 kilometres into the Swartruggens Mountain Range which are great for hiking. Each season at Planet Karoo is special; from hot Summer days at the pool, to the clear skies of winter and the awesome variety of flowers in Spring. Planet Karoo has no electricity and functions on solar power, gas and oil lamps. |
